Welcome to Inna Care, Pauline – A New Chapter of Care, Comfort, and Connection

At Inna Care, every new client is more than just a name on a list—they’re a life story, a loved one, and a valued part of our extended family. Today, we’re proud to welcome Pauline, an inspiring 83-year-old woman from Havering, who recently joined us following a significant life change.

A Sudden Fall, A New Beginning

Pauline, known for her independence and vibrant spirit, experienced a difficult moment recently when she fell in her bathroom and broke her right arm. For someone used to living life on her own terms—cooking her own meals, organising outings with friends, and managing her household alone—this unexpected injury changed everything.

With her dominant arm in recovery, even the simplest daily tasks became a challenge. For the first time ever, Pauline needed help at home.

That’s where we stepped in.

Independent and Active – Meet Pauline

Before the fall, Pauline lived life fully and independently. She loves cooking, especially traditional home-cooked meals. Her days were often filled with laughter and friendship, going out to shop, socialise, and enjoy club events with her close friends Jossie, Maureen, and Brenda. These outings brought her joy and purpose, giving her a rhythm to life that she cherished.

Now, with Jossie in hospital and her mobility reduced, Pauline found herself in unfamiliar territory—facing recovery while being alone at home. That’s why her family and friends knew it was time to ensure she had the right care, at the right time.

Care That Respects Her Routine

At Inna Care, we tailor our support around Pauline’s preferences, personality, and past routines. Our carers don’t just assist—they uplift, encourage, and empower.

  • Helping Pauline with meal prep while letting her guide the recipes she loves

  • Supporting her with washing and dressing while maintaining her dignity

  • Creating space for her to stay connected with friends and her community

  • Being there for her emotionally, especially as she adjusts to a temporary loss of independence

Our goal is to help Pauline feel like herself again—safe, respected, and cared for, in her own home.
